Different coherence readings between emWave & Freeze-Framer
Make sure that the emWave and Freeze-Framer program are both set to the same challenge level. The emWave is shipped set on challenge level one, and the Freeze-Framer is shipped set on challenge level two. When comparing the two devices simultaneously, use the ear sensors for both devices, one connected to each ear.
Because both devices analyze a 64-second sliding window of heart rate data, and there will be some variance between when data analysis begins when starting sessions on both devices, there will sometimes be several seconds of variance between the coherence scores on the emWave and the Freeze-Framer. Try starting the emWave when the Freeze-Framer calibration window is about 50% complete. The longer the session continues, the more closely the two correlate. Make sure both units are in running in session mode for at least one full minute before making any comparisons. Compare only the Freeze-Framers coherence ratio "current level" software lights to the emWave's coherence level LED.
Also note: the two units can be up to five seconds out of phase depending on when the scoring cycle starts. If your coherence level is at or near the threshold between low/medium or medium/high the two unit’s coherence levels may differ by one level.
