Tools that deal with emotional problems and issues
First, you need the books, Transforming Stress and Transforming Anxiety, by Doc Childre and Deborah Rozman. http://store.heartmath.org/store/books
Next, you'll want to have either the emWave Personal Stress Reliever or the emWave PC Stress Relief System. They will help you to learn the techniques and anchor the knowledge in real time. You will be able to measure your progress and keep a journal inside the program, which will demonstrate to you how things are progressing.
Last, learn the tools in a specific order. Don't attempt to use the Cut-Thru tool, which is found in Transforming Anxiety until you have practiced the Heart Lock-In® and Quick Coherence® techniques for several weeks. You will want to internalize the steps of the Heart Lock-In and Quick Coherence. They will help you fully understand the concepts and access the associative feelings. Once you have learned and practiced the two techniques, you'll be ready for more in-depth work.
When you read the Transforming Anxiety book, study it as you read. Again, internalize the steps. Don't rush. Take your time and enjoy the learning experience. Remember, if it takes you a year or two to master the emotions that have been troubling you, it's OK. You've had these troubling thoughts and feelings for a long time, so give yourself time to go through the process of clearing out the old. There's no rush. It just seems that way.
