Heart Rate Variability Research
For more than two decades, HeartMath Institute’s research on heart rate variability (HRV) has provided scientists around the world with a window into the complex relationship between the rhythms of the human heart and our emotions. HRV, the subtle beat-to beat fluctuations in heart rate, remains a cornerstone of HeartMath’s research because of its reliability as an indicator of physical health, psychological resiliency and behavioral flexibility.
Social Coherence Research
Increasing social coherence, the deep heart connection between and among human beings, has the potential to transform people’s lives – from families, classrooms and organizations to communities and entire nations. Our scientists are focused on examining ways people can expand their heart connections locally and globally and developing new education programs on the importance of social coherence for improving their lives.
Interconnectivity Tree Research Project
HeartMath Institute scientists are exploring how people and trees may be energetically connected; and affected by human emotions; why humans seem to be uplifted while in the presence of tree biofields; and how trees may be able to inform us about approaching earthquakes.
Human-Earth Connectivity/Interconnectivity Research
Our ongoing studies show Earth and solar magnetic field environments affect human heart rhythms, nervous-system functioning and behavior. We’re also examining the ways in which all living things are interconnected, through biofield interactions and the exchange of information between our personal and global magnetic field environments.
As a HeartMath Monthly Giver
Your contribution of as little as $5 per month will help the institute conduct research and educate people about its findings. You’ll receive a free HMI Membership as an appreciation gift.
The HMI Research Center’s dedicated team is working diligently for a better future and world.
100% of your donation supports the vital work of our projects.
The HeartMath Institute does not use public donations for administrative or fundraising costs. Through sales and licensing we generate the funds necessary to cover our operating expenses. Your donations exclusively impact the many HMI research projects.
